Goucher College’s Center for the Study of Modern Language, Literature, and Cultures invites applications for a visiting resident instructor to begin Fall 2019 for a one-year position. The appointment may be renewed for a second academic year upon recommendation of the Center Director and the Provost. The ideal candidate will be a native of a Francophone country, have a Maîtrise (preferably in FLE), experience teaching French as a foreign language, and be able to teach language courses from the beginning level to the intermediate level. A commitment to teaching excellence and teaching experience are required. Please discuss your teaching philosophy and methods in your cover letter. It is recommended that your letter of recommendation address teaching effectiveness. In addition to compensation (salary and benefits) as a full-time instructor, the successful candidate will receive an apartment on campus. Position responsibilities include teaching, living on campus, and organizing French activities in the Language House.
